TERRITORY

The Cooperative has always stood out for deep knowledge of the territory and great attention to the environment: sustainability is the guiding principle of all corporate choices.

For this reason, the Cooperative will continue to work with a view to:

  • Using active ingredients, fertilisers and water resources with a careful eye on the environment
  • Improving the natural fertility of the soil through effective crop rotation systems
  • Support the natural weight gain of the animals, without altering the composition of feeds.

In 1998, C.I.L.A. adhered to the EU-funded Agri-environment Measure for the Restoration of Hedges, Groves and Wetlands.
Ceasing horticultural and rice-growing activities to favour the restoration of natural elements represents a unique opportunity to protect a heritage of great value in terms of local biodiversity.
